SAE
SAE Spotlight Air Environmental
The air quality sensors, the data and the map are products of the sensors' manufacturer. The sensors are used by residential, commercial, industrial and federal consumers. They require Wi-Fi and an outlet, and are easy to install. By the above-word "indication" we mean that the model of sensors that SAE is donating is not designed to detect all harmful pollutants or name the pollutants that it does detect. However, the sensors do measure particulate matter (one of the six criteria pollutants) in sizes of PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10. EPA says that particles in these sizes are inhalable and "can get deep into your lungs and some even into your bloodstream." (Note: All air quality sensors displayed in SAE's service area on this map are not necessarily donated by SAE.)

(Please note that: (a) Studies have shown that low-level, long-term air pollutants can be harmful. (b) Low-level air pollutants that occur with groups of other low-level air pollutants can be harmful short term as well as long term. See "Synergistic" on our Glossary page. (c) Outdoors air pollutants often concentrate to higher levels indoors. (d) The numbers in the result column on the following reports should not be larger than the numbers in the 'Report Limit' column.)
